1. Introduction
Welcome to the GreenCCIrcle Hub. We are committed to protecting your privacy and treating your data with the same care and respect we apply to our planet. This policy explains how the GreenCCIrcle Consortium collects, manages, and uses your personal information and how we use cookies when you use our digital tools.
2. Who We Are
GreenCCIrcle aims to empower Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) to tackle climate change by developing a comprehensive support scheme. This initiative will identify skill gaps, create the GreenCCIrcle training for sustainable skills, and establish a multi-stakeholder ecosystem across 9 countries, fostering collaboration and innovation
- The Project: Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union (Project Ref: 101140276).
- The Controllers: The project is a consortium. Consorzio Materahub (Italy) acts as the Project Coordinator. Julie’s Bicycle Europe (Ireland) manages this digital Hub.
- Our Partners: We work with a network of European partners including Materahub, Creative Industry Kosice, Creative FED, Fondazione Università Ca’Foscari, Arteria Foundation, Baltic Film & Creative Tech Cluster, Julie’s Bicycle Europe, XAMK, EKA DiMa and Infodef.
3. What data do we collect
We believe in data minimisation. We only collect the specific information necessary to improve the hub.
- Communication Data: We collect your Full Name and Email Address only when you voluntarily provide them in these two specific instances:
- When you fill out our Contact Form to get in touch.
- When you Submit a New Resource to be added to the Hub.
- Technical Data: We capture your IP address strictly for user analytics (via Google Analytics). This helps us understand the geographic spread of our audience for EU reporting, but does not identify you personally beyond this metric.
4. How We Use Cookies
To provide a smooth service, we use a range of third-party tools. Here is exactly how they affect your data:

5. Why We Collect Data (Legal Basis)
We process your data for three main reasons:
- To Empower You: To directly engage with you if we have a follow up query linked to the hub or contact us page.
- To Report to Our Funders: As an Erasmus+ project, we are legally required to report participant statistics to the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) to validate our funding.
- Consent: By accepting our cookie banner or ticking the registration box, you give us permission to process this data.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your data. We function as a project family, meaning your data may be shared strictly within:
- The Consortium: Accessible to project partners solely for project management and auditing purposes.
- The Funding Authority: We share aggregated or pseudonymized data with the European Union (EACEA) to demonstrate that the project is delivering its goals.
7. Data Retention
We store your data on secure servers within the EU/EEA. We retain your personal data for 5 years after the project ends or until you ask us to remove it.
8. Your Rights
You are in control. Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or request the deletion of your data.
